Chiarini is a veteran of three combat tours in Iraq assigned as a Fleet Marine Force (FMF) Hospital Corpsman with USMC infantry companies in and around the Al Anbar province, later known as the Sunni Triangle of Death. He was also deployed to Guantanamo Bay’s “Camp X-Ray,” caring for some of the most dangerous enemy combatants worldwide. Chiarini graduated from the military’s TCCC instructor course and many other tactical medic courses. He has been featured on CNN’s documentary “Heroes” for his life-saving actions while assigned to the 1st Battalion 2nd Marine Division in the Al Anbar in 2006. Chiarini’s acts of valor are detailed in Allan Zullo’s book “WAR HEROS: Voices from Iraq” Chiarini is currently assigned to the North Providence Fire Department for the past ten years as a Fire Fighter/ EMT Cardiac. Joshua has been teaching Active Shooter Response, Self/Aid Buddy Aid Gunshot Wound Care, TCCC, TECC and many other courses for over 17 years.

His combat experience and working as a first responder brings in a dynamic that cannot be found in your traditional tactical medicine courses.
