Jonathan Francis brings a wealth of experience and dedication to his role as an instructor for the Triage Training Group. A United States Marine Corps veteran and seasoned firefighter, Jonathan has dedicated over 16 years to public service, specializing in disaster response, fire suppression, and emergency medical services. His career has been marked by a steadfast commitment from the battlefield to now the streets of America in high-risk situations, he always with a focus on maintaining crew integrity and safety.

Jonathan's journey began in the Marine Corps, where as a Corporal at Camp Lejeune, NC, he honed his leadership skills, discipline, and expertise in various tactical operations. His service was distinguished by numerous awards, including the Combat Action Ribbon (Iraq) and the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal.

Transitioning to civilian life, Jonathan continued his commitment to public service as a firefighter with the Cranston Fire Department in Rhode Island, where he has been instrumental in the preservation of life and property. In addition to his firefighting role, Jonathan has been an instructor at the Rhode Island Fire Academy since 2017, providing both basic and advanced training in Technical Rescue and Confined Space Technician skills. His background as an EMT-Cardiac further underscores his comprehensive understanding of emergency medical operations, complementing his instructional duties with real-world experience.

Jonathan's educational background is equally impressive, holding a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a major in Counterterrorism and Homeland Security from Southern New Hampshire University, where he graduated Summa cum Laude. He has also earned multiple certifications in emergency response disciplines, including Rope Rescue Technician, Hazardous Materials Technician, and EMT-Cardiac License, among others.

At the Triage Training Group, Jonathan Francis leverages his extensive experience, skills, and dedication to integrity and compliance with protocols to prepare the next generation of first responders. His ability to adapt to evolving situations while ensuring the safety and effectiveness of his team makes him an invaluable asset to both his students and the broader emergency response community.
