About the course

At Triage Training Group, we are excited to introduce the Red Ice Program, a cutting-edge initiative specifically designed to address the unique injury risks associated with ice hockey. Developed by experienced professionals, many of whom are hockey players themselves, the Red Ice Program provides essential life-saving training to players, coaches, staff, and first responders through the renowned Stop the Bleed concept.

Hockey is a high-speed, high-impact sport, and when injuries occur, immediate action can make the difference between life and death. The Red Ice Program teaches participants how to effectively respond to severe bleeding injuries on the ice using battlefield-proven techniques such as hemorrhage control, tourniquet application, and hemostatic dressings. Our instructors bring a wealth of real-world trauma experience, blending their backgrounds in the military, first response, and hockey to provide practical, relevant training.

Mindset is a core focus of the Red Ice Program. Participants are taught to stay calm under pressure and approach every emergency with confidence and clarity. Just like in hockey, where mental toughness and quick decision-making are crucial, these same traits are emphasized when responding to traumatic injuries. The program builds the mental resilience needed to act decisively in high-stress situations.

Each session includes hands-on training with our custom Red Ice Trauma Kits, which are specifically tailored for the demands of ice hockey. These kits are included in the price of the class, ensuring that participants leave not only with the knowledge but also with the essential tools to respond to emergencies. The training also involves realistic simulations, allowing participants to experience the pressure of making critical decisions in a fast-paced, ice-rink setting.

Upon successful completion, participants receive Stop the Bleed certification, validating their ability to perform life-saving interventions when seconds count. Whether you're a coach, player, or part of the medical staff, the Red Ice Program will equip you with the mindset and skills needed to make hockey safer for everyone.

Join the Red Ice Program today and bring world-class injury response training to your team or league.
